Recordio is designed to work entirely on your device. We do not operate accounts and we do not run a server that stores your content. This policy explains what that means in practice.
Nothing is sent to us. Recordio has no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking. We do not collect personal information, usage data, or device identifiers.
Music you generate, cover art, titles, your artist nickname, and prompts are stored locally on your iPhone. They are not uploaded to us or any third party.
Music generation and optional AI cover art (Apple Image Playground) run on your device using Apple's frameworks. Your prompts are processed locally and are not transmitted to Recordio.
When you trade a record with someone nearby, the audio and metadata are sent directly to that person's device over Apple's MultipeerConnectivity (a local peer-to-peer connection using Wi-Fi and Bluetooth). The data does not pass through our servers. Trades only happen when both people confirm.
Subscriptions and one-time purchases are handled by Apple through the App Store. We never see your payment information. Apple's privacy policy governs that transaction.
Recordio requests Local Network and Bluetooth access only to discover nearby people for trading. It is not used for any other purpose and no location data is collected.
Recordio is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the "last updated" date above.
